Forsaken Empire Fortizar Dies in Vale of the Silent, TVN-FM

TVN-FM, 0400 – In the early hours of the EVE morning on 24 May, the final timer of a Forsaken Empire Fortizar in the system of TVN-FM in Vale of the Silent was completed by attacking forces, destroying the citadel. Forsaken has been a thorn in the side of the more northern residents of the area, Lord of World’s alliance and Fraternity, along with other entities of the Winter Coalition.

For this timer, the Forsaken Empire recruited the assistance of Test Alliance Please Ignore who came with a sizable “Swag Surfer” fleet, consisting of Zealots, Deimos, and Ikitursa (for logistics). The Legacy Voltron came with Muninns and Forsaken Empire put their own Typhoon fleet on the Fortizar. The attackers in this instance, PandaFam (as it’s called when PanFam works with WinterCo.) brought two Muninn fleets with a LORDE and co. Maelstrom fleet in tow. Additional attacking fleets were present but were mostly prepared to third-party. All totaled, the defending fleets were vastly outnumbered on the field.

As the timer ticked down, the LORDE Maelstroms warped in at long range, taking shots at the Fortizar to pause the timer. As the PanFam Muninn fleets hovered around the battleships, screening them from would-be bombing runs and providing additional logistics support, the defenders sat firmly in the Fortizar’s tether, shooting them from range. They did not want to leave their lone Apostle force auxiliary or give up the position they had within the Fortizar’s tether range.

As the Fortizar neared the last percents of its remaining structure integrity, defending fleets perched to an on-grid citadel, in a move that would seem to signal the end of the fight, leaving the Fortizar to die as they watched from afar.

This marks the third Forsaken Empire Fortizar to fall to the combined NC/PL/FRT fleets. Time will tell how this will continue and we’ll be there to make sure you hear the latest.

EDIT: This article was edited to clarify the presence of overwhelming attacking forces and remove some details that remain unclear.
